About the Clark Center Foundation
The History of the Foundation
More than 25 years ago a group of interested citizens conceived the dream of a quality performing arts center in South County. With support from the entire community and the cooperation of the Lucia Mar Unified School District, that dream became a reality in 2002 with the opening of the Clark Center for the Performing Arts.
Since then, the Center has become the cultural hub of the Five Cities area, having been used for over 1000 events ranging from school music and drama performances, to business gatherings, to the outstanding performances sponsored by the Clark Center Association.
